Her sets tell a story of the whenua and intention. She cultivates an assertion of dance, giving shape through fun percussive sound and moody baselines. She spreads a message to dance & love with passion.
Heavily inspired by sound system culture and electronic club music, BABETECH has been spinning her selections since 2022, exploring from genres like (but not limited to) bass, classic dubstep, dub and reggae, footwork, experimental & grime.
BABETECH has opened for the likes of Loefah in 2022 & 2024, Plastician, Al Wootton, Kahn&Neek, Truant, Half Queen and many local line ups. She has played Twisted Frequency festival 4 years in a row, Cubadupa festival 3 times, Newtown fest, High Tide festival and Port Noise.
